About our host

Host Kurt Bodden brings wit, curiosity, and an engaging presence to the host's chair. As a standup comic, improvisor, and solo performer, he knows how to get an audience laughing. But he also puts his guests at ease and asks the questions that are on the audience's mind.
Kurt graduated from Harvard and embarked on a career in architecture and product design. Then improv comedy led him to the stage and eventually to roles in commercials and independent films. And he has melded the two arenas by teaching teambuilding, creativity, and presentation skills in the college and corporate worlds.
A former member of the company at BATS Improv, co-founder of Scratch Theatre and Four on the Floor (which performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and graduate of the sketch-comedy program at The Groundlings (in Los Angeles), Kurt has performed and taught improv internationally. He has performed solo work at the Marsh and recently debuted his one-man show "Class Notes" to sold-out houses at the SF Fringe Festival in September.
Kurt says that he sees Talk Show Live as an opportunity for "humorous conversations with interesting people ... and interesting conversations with humorous people."
