Info for prospective guests

WE'RE LOOKING FOR TALK TALENT: We'll have 2 or 3 (nonmusical) interview guests for each show. One of these guests will also have the opportunity to give a short performance before settling into an interview with Kurt.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR MUSICIANS: Our house band, the North Beach Irregulars, is open to having visiting musicians sit in during the show (particularly out-of-towners who are in San Francisco for other gigs).  You can join the band, or even do a brief guest set.  Bandleader Ned Boynton mixes and matches musicians at each show to make sure that everyone -- performers and audience alike -- is having the maximum good time.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: 429 Productions wants to connect you to our engaged, intellectually adventurous local event-goers and music lovers. Here's what we can offer just for a start (along with a drink on us):
  • Promotion before the show.  429 Productions sends advance e-mailings about each show to its hand-picked mailing list. Everyone we contact will learn about you and be directed to our website for more info.
  • Promotion on our website. Our website is your oyster! We'll post your bio, picture and description on the site. We'll link to your website and merchandise site, we'll link to streamed music and video, we'll link to your schedule. Each show will have its own page on the site, and those pages will be archived, so -- unless you ask us to take them down -- the links will stay up long after the show.
  • Promotion at the show. We're happy for guest performers to sell CDs and books at the show, and to put out schedule/PR info.  And because the audience will be coming early and (we hope) staying late, there will be lots of time for your sales to be done in a friendly, low-key way. The audience will also take home a program that describes you and your performance.
  • Promotion after the show. We'll podcast each show, and they'll be available for download from our website. As with the written info and links, the podcasts will be archived and available after the show. We'll also be blogging about each show on the site.
